FAQs

What areas do you service?

I'm a San Diego based photographer. I will travel up to 50 miles from downtown San Diego. I have photographed homes as far North as Oceanside/Temecula, as far south as Imperial Beach, and as far east as Alpine Valley. I may be able to shoot a property over 50 miles away, but travel fees will range from $50-100.

When will I get my photos?

You will receive an online gallery link with all your photos by 8pm business next day.

For larger homes, I will let you know at the time of scheduling if 48 hours is required for your property.

If you have a special rush request, please let me know at the time of scheduling. I can either plan an early arrival or even break up a photoshoot between 2 days if necessary in order to meet your posting timeline.

I typically will inquire with you or your clients at the time of the shoot if there are any time constraints. I can shoot in a short window of time using HDR photography.

How do I make a payment?

You will receive an email when the images are completed. You are able to preview your images before checking out using the online store. There are many quick and secure payment options including PayPal using the online store. I also accept Venmo, Zelle, cash or check.

Do you offer other photography services?

Unfortunately at this time, I'm a single photographer with a small business. I do not offer some premium services offered by others such as video walk-throughs.

However, I can offer free edits like "sky replacements", "fireplace fires" and "TV replacements." If your client has a picture of a family pet or a special event photo they would like to share, I can edit it into the TV screen.

Is it time to update your business card? I will take a couple additional photos if you need a headshot or want a picture of your clients to send them as a keepsake.

What if I need to cancel or need something reshot?

I'm a believer in the golden rule, so if you have to cancel, please let me know as soon as you can. I do not charge a cancellation fee. If something goes awry or there is sudden bad weather, we can reschedule. In fact, I cannot shoot exteriors in the rain. I am not going to judge your property's "show readiness", however, if I see something that really looks out-of-place or is in disarray, I will give you a courtesy call to let you know. If you decide re-shooting at another time is best, a $60 service fee to cover my time and travel will apply. Please consider sending your clients my pre-shoot checklist to avoid re-shoots.

How long is a standard photoshoot?

Some properties present more challenges than others (i.e. awkward furniture placement, harsh sunlight through windows, sun flares, dark painted rooms, wood ceilings or high vaulted ceilings, etc.)

A photographer that shoots HDR or uses a single flash exposure will likely be able to speed through a home in under an hour. However, I need a MINIMUM OF 2 HOURS in order to properly photograph a property.

Why? I use "Flash Ambient" photography to give cleaner/sharper looking images that are more color accurate and often show window views more clearly. This style of photography takes longer as more lighting equipment is needed and 4-5+ images are often taken per scene.

Also, I implement "pole photography" at no extra cost to you. I attach the camera to a 16 foot pole to get elevated shots of the property (without using a drone).

Please check with your client to make sure they can accommodate this process.

What if I'm not satisfied with a photo or photos?

I guarantee you (and your client's) satisfaction with any or all photos.

For example, if you don't like how an image was cropped or you think it's too dark, too bright or not the right color, I will do my best to fix it by either editing it or rescheduling the next earliest available time to reshoot the image(s) at no extra charge.

If reshooting is not an option, I will process a full refund within 3-5 business days.

Who owns the property photos?

As per the California Association of Realtors form, Property Image Agreement, Section 4 Part B & C (which I will sign upon request), I grant an exclusive license agreement to all real estate agents/homeowners who purchase photos from me with the exception of general images such as community photos, community entrance signs, and other common areas images such as pools, gyms, tennis courts, etc. All images of the subject property I will only use for my own portfolio and marketing.
